Southern Ultrasonics For All Your Engine Cleaning Needs.

Ultrasonics have long been known to produce energy that can penetrate the hardest of surfaces. In ultrasonic cleaning modern technology has enabled these forces to be utilised in developing a highly effective alternative to solvent based cleaning systems.

Ultrasonic cleaning is applied to Ultrasonic cleaning for engine partscomponents immersed in a liquid (aqueous) medium through which high frequency sound waves are passed. These sound waves produce microscopic bubbles which collapse under pressure and agitation. The collapsing of these bubbles produces tiny shockwaves that have a scrubbing action on the surface of the material being cleaned. These forces are capable of  penetrating even the hardest of surfaces removing debris and deposits such as baked-on carbon.

This safe and environmentally friendly action is highly controllable. The size of the bubble is dependentHealt exchangers before and after Ultrasonic cleaning on the frequency of the ultrasonic waves being used as well as the control of other variables such as vapour pressure, surface density and viscosity. It is capable of penetrating the most complex of internal tubing as found in cooler units, but at the same time it will not damage the delicate radiator fins.

Having over 10 years of experience in ultrasonic cleaning we use delicate control of the combination of liquid density, ultrasound frequency and time duration to allow a  very wide range of personal control to enable the cleaning of complex, precision pieces of machinery.

Ultrasonic cleaning is not just limited to engine parts, many of our customers also rely on ultrasonic cleaning to prepare surfaces prior to electro-plating, welding and other similar processes.

Below is a slideshow of some of the engineering parts we have been asked to ultrasonically clean
